“A work of art is only real when the perceiver cannot imagine any more than that which he sees or hears or understands. when the perceiver experiences a feeling similar to reminiscence, that this, he says, already was many times, that he knew this long ago, only wasn’t able to say, but now himself has said. Mainly, when he feels that which he hears, sees, and understands could not be any different, but has to be just as he perceives it. If the perceiver feels that that which the artist shows him could be different, if he sees the artist, sees his tyranny, then this is no longer art.”

Si quien percibe la obra de arte siente que lo que le muestra el artista también podría ser de otra manera, si ve al artista, si percibe su arbitraria manera de ser, entonces ya no se trata de arte.”
